Supervisor
This is unprofessional behaviour. Try to address it with your supervisor or Department Head. That failing, prepare a factual summary and contact the Human Resources Department or the Ombuds Office.
Treatment during meetings
Q: I was humiliated by my supervisor in a meeting attended by several colleagues. I thought I was being over-sensitive so I did not react at the time, but a number of my colleagues commented to me afterwards that they felt I had been unfairly treated. What should I do?
A: You should share your feelings and the reactions of your colleagues with your supervisor or their supervisor. If this does not have any effect or if you feel you cannot discuss it with your supervisor, you should contact the Human Resources Department or the Ombuds Office.
Whistle-blowing
CERN does not have an official whistle-blowing policy. However, violations can be reported to your hierarchy, the CERN contract manager, the Human Resources Department, or Internal Audit , as the case may be, on a fully confidential basis. Attempted or actual retaliation against a person who contacted or cooperated with the Ombuds will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
Working methods (structure)
Standard project management practices are important to ensure that your fellow team members are able to be effective in their roles to contribute their best to the overall work. In addition, in the event that the work of the team needs to be replicated or built upon by others, it is important that a record exists of how the work was accomplished.
