Hostel Accommodation
In Saint Genis: There is one kitchen per floor (approx. 10 rooms). Food storage and cooking facilities are provided, as well as a few cooking and eating utensils (pots, pans, knives, forks, spoons…). You may rent at the reception desk a complete set of utensils. Every resident has their own space in a cupboard and in the fridge in their kitchen, both of which are lockable. It is highly recommended that you bring a padlock for each, as things may otherwise get stolen.
In the CERN Hostal: Kitchens in Buildings 38 and 39 are equipped with (limited) food storage, cooking facilities and eating utensils. There are no lockable storage facilities.

There are no telephones in the rooms.
Internet connection at CERN
There is a wireless LAN connection inside restaurant 1 (building 500) where you can register your laptop and get access with your CERN login. You can also use the computers in front of the user office (you just need a CERN login) and you might be able to connect your laptop to the internet in your office .

In Buildings 38, 39 and 41 you can have access to wireless LAN with your CERN registration and login.
At the Hostel in Saint-Genis-Pouilly (French side) you have to go to the reception to ask for a special card giving an access code which allows you to access the internet. All of these services are available free of charge.
